In her new Cabaret performance, Nilgun Yerli takes a closer look at her own life motto: “Fly without fear and make your dreams come true”.
A performance in which Dreams are postponed to a Later. There is a lot later in our lives. That starts in your childhood: ‘You’ll understand that later.’ Or: ‘Later when you grow up you will probably think differently.’
But all that will also come to an end later. And you shouldn’t think about that end at all. After all, you already have your hands too full with all the later you ended up in. But what is important and what is not? How do you make the absurd less absurd? Or do you have to make the absurd even more absurd to keep life adventurous?
Nilgün Yerli explores all this at full strength and with heart and soul, always surprised and looking for laughter, because when you talk about ‘Later when I’m dead’ you can only pronounce those words laughing.
